Hillsborough Forest Park
Home to a wide variety of birds and animals, this beautiful forest and lake are cover an area of almost 200 acres, with walking routes to suit everyone, ample room for picnics and a state-of-the-art woodland themed outdoor children’s play area.
Built as an artillery fort by Colonel Hill in 1650, Hillsborough Fort was remodelled as a Gothicstyle tower house in 1758 and its grounds on the edge of the Forest Park are open to the public.
